There are two ways of resetting a password, depending on the role assigned to a user when it was registered in the system.
If you are an Admin user:
- In the main menu, click on Administration, to open the menu.
- Then, click on Users, to see the entire data list.
- In that grid, click on Edit, after choosing the registry you want to modify.
- A new screen will open. To reset the user Password, click Reset Password.
If you are not an Admin user:
Go to the login screen, where you will see a link that says, Help I forgot my password, below the ‘Login‘ button. Click on the link, and you will be redirected to the screen shown below:
- Enter your Username or email address.
- Click Submit. You will then be prompted to answer your Secret Question with the Secret Answer you entered when registering.
- Go to your email inbox (the one used to register your user in the tractFile system) and follow the instructions to Reset Your Password.
